The Paypal Thing.....
« on: January 04, 2010, 04:38:32 PM »

Just a thought.

Given the loss of fixtures and revenue over the Christmas period, could the Paypal account be used for people to donate what they would have spent had they attended the matches? If a few of us put in the entrance fee, programme, pie costs or whatever you would have spent at the game(s) it may just allow things to keep ticking over until the club gets some real revenue in again at the next home game.

Is this possible?

What happens when the games are eventually played, do we get free entrance, free beer and free pies or do we have to pay again?

I know we don't sell advance tickets but that could have been a way of getting some cashflow with the ticket remaining valid for the rearranged date. Not convinced there would've been many takers though.

At the end of the day any donation to the paypal fund will ultimately be helping the club. If you can afford to make a donation your contribution would most definitely be gratefully received.

Many people, who were back in the area for Christmas, will (like myself) have returned to far off places and will not be able to attend the rearranged fixtures.

I'll be making a 'donation.'

how do we arrange an email to all registered ALty fans with that URL?  it may get some cash in.

Also get it up in lights on the main site.

£25.00 of mine heading that way.

I'm working on that already. There should hopefully be something on there in the next couple of days.  :)

If you could get it to the club on a matchday it would be gratefully received in the bucket collection.

Brilliant gesture.

Don't worry about getting peaked, we have fans of other clubs on here as well.

And only Jenga loses his rag about them  ;D
