« on: October 27, 2008, 09:18:06 PM »

3 of thier starting 11, and 1 of their subs on saturday were loan players, I wonder if they will be given permission to play in the fa cup a week on saturday?

And they had 408 at bury.

When we played Luton they did look very poor...

If you go there, work hard and give 100% you may just get a result...

Then draw us in round two... ;)

Loan players almost never get the nod to play. Could be interesting, then again we could be in the same boat !

Cahill, King and Toulson came in January so he may have been the only one

As was JJ who, incidentally, got sent off against rotherham on satdee. It was on on sunday morning on match of the day for the lower leagues. The championship or something. Dont know exactly why, didnt really see it. Can the resident rotherham fan shed any light on this?

We scored and tried to get the ball back quickly...

JJ had a little scuffle with the Rovrum player, they both got sent off...Pretty silly really..

Millwall included atleast two loan players against us last year in the fa cup,Brkovic from Luton and Simpson from Arsenal. I think Simpson got the winner.

Think it was Will Hoskins the young lad who caused us a world of hurt that scored, he was just far too tricky for us and for me was the differance, at forest on loan from watford now

I wish we still had Hoskins, he's finally settled into the Watford team and is scoring goals.

Regarding the red cards the Macc Town fan is quite right, they scored a consolation goal then our defender kicked the ball away and JJ squared up to him despite being three quarters of his size

I'm not sure who scored but Simpson was the one who caused us all the problems down the flanks (the black lad who was on their right wing in the second half?)

I know it is obvious, but it also depends on whether the parent club are still in the FA Cup or not. lol

And largely who they are.

Shotton obvoiusly wasn't anywhere near Stoke's 1st team last season so the benfit of playing in a cup match was more important. Ditto Simpson with Arsenal/Chelsea/whoever his parent club was.
