What a win
« on: November 23, 2013, 05:30:44 PM »

A real war of attrition, a dirty war, superb win against a side that will take points off many goods sides, great tactical awareness in the first half to thin us out also.

You'd never buy it on DVD but you've got to win those games if you want to win the league.

Great battling from the lads against a Solihull side that won't lose many without being spectacular.

Well pleased with that.

Agree.  Scott was immense and, though it pains me to say it,  Perry was good with his flick ons.

Glad to get the three points.

I thought a draw would have been a fair result to be honest. Solihull must feel gutted not to take something away from the game.

Why does Perry get such a hard time? He puts himself about and at least tries to make things happen. He just gets abuse for no reason in my opinion. Smikle however should never wear an Alty shirt again, he's toilet.

Did his sitting on the bench not meet your exacting standards then?

One shot on target from open play that was saved and we won

Horrible game to watch at times but a win is a win.

Thought we did really well. We soaked up a lot of pressure without panicing at the back.  A deserved three points after playing some nice football in the first half.  I enjoyd this game much more than Leamington away - a similar game of sorts.

Really happy with the win.

I have said before Perry and Smikle to go for me, but Perry did do well and i have posted in my own thread that he can do a job for us on that performance.

Would not have argued with a draw, but to take all 3 points was very pleasing, a good battling solid workmanlike performance.

Agreed, was pleased with Perrys performance yesterday, it was what he I thought he would be good at, winning headers, holding it up to bring others into play.  Maybe we can see some more of that.

It was strange really as normally create loads of chances but yesterday was about dogged midfield work and stern defending and we stood up to that very well.

They will certainly feel they deserved a point but then so did we at Boston.

Couple of reinforcements and this will be a squad that can win it..
