You're right to note that Paul Brayson will score. Even if we were winning 9-2 he'd have to score twice. See also David McNiven, Daryl Clare, Guy Madjo, John Askey etc

Aside from that, after the opening day of this seasonI'm not going to make any predictions, about what happend either on or off the pitch!

Not sure Harrogate will bring 350-400 away fans though.

Carl Alford scored most of his goals against us for Kettering rather than Macc iirc. On which note you can add JP Marna to the list.

I wonder who, in say the last 30 years, has the most career goals against Alty? I'd guess it's Askey but maybe that's just the extra trauma involved in his goals.

I don't think Askey necessarily scored that many but everyone he seemed to score was a period when they beat us 0-1 everytime unless we were busy T**tting them 4-0, 3-0 or 5-3 and that really should've been 5-2.

Always seemed to be on 67 minutes too. I think Steve Hanlon can go f**k himself on that note too wherever he is nowadays.  >:(

Those still left in the prediction competition, please note... ;D ;D

An Alty win if its on, with the boy Redshaw scoring a hat trick to round off his Alty career, before coming back on loan next week!

It will be called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Lets hope that puts off a couple of Harrogate fans and maybe a few floaters as well.

Drying up at midnight according to the forecast and no rain due before 3pm tomorrow.

The pitch will 100% be fine. It's a lot different from years ago

It also doesn't hep when people slate the manager for signing players who haven't even worn the shirt yet!

Fair point, but when I posted this it was absolutely lashing it down. Any travelling fan would check anyway, see my next post to fans.

Having said that, coming from you this shouted comment was the pot calling the kettle black mate!

Dear Harrogate fans.

Alty is a very friendly club with a superb pitch with great drainage. The forecast now looks mainly dry so the match should go ahead fine. see you in the bar before, at H/T or after the match.

I hope we dont beat you by too many goals today :D

To be fair if you decide your travel plans on the back of a single posting on a fans forum then you are a numptie.

I would phone the club but that would make too much sense...
