Title: Bradford Park Avenue predictions
Post by: bumble on April 16, 2013, 10:50:12 AM
BPA 0-2 Altrincham

Reeves x 2

Harrogate draw 0-0 with Solihull meaning we're 8 clear (game in hand) and 9 clear of BPA with 3 to go...

I think this is going to be incredibly tough. Quite likely that Duncan will be missing (gutted, one of the few games I manage to get over for).

I want a win, but will be happy with a draw.

BPA 2 Alty 2

Bradford 0 Alty 2
Reeves 24
Densmore 28

Solid performance for the supers and chances converted.

Not a classic or a lot of goal mouth action but a big three points

120 robins see it and its all good.

Gosh, this is a tough call especially as they have just put 5 past the mighty Droylsden  ;)

We did that at their place without getting out of 2nd gear.

BPA 1 Alty 4

Reeves gets 3, Havern gets the other.

It'll be blowing a gale, probably raining, a bobbly pitch and a well organised BPA team. About 3 passes the maximum either side will string together - but if Rodgers, Richman, Leather and Havern are on form a hard fought 2-1 win.

2 - 2 and according to the forum the promotion push is over and we are doomed to Conference North level of eternity under Lee Sinnott.

One all draw I'm sure I've read they have four players out tomorrow

Altrincham wasted three early chances before they lost Shaun Densmore injured after just 14 minutes. His replacement, Danny Hall himself had to be substituted in the second half. In a gusty wind on a bobbly surface, Alty lost their way after their early chances and Coburn was surprisingly beaten by a skidding shot from the edge of the box after 32 mins

After this came the miss of the season by Damien Reeves, who sold the keeper a dummy and then shot well over the bar. The next half hour or so saw some of the drabbest football seen this season but after Brooke had been withdrawn and Watmore and Clee had come on, the final 20 minutes was one-way traffic for Alty as BPA struggled against the wind. The game threatened to boil over, especially when a BPA substitute held both his hands round Doughty's neck but, amazingly, he was not even booked by the referee who was not a popular figure throughout this game. With 5 minutes left, Rogers advanced up the middle and drove the ball past Britton to level the scores. Then, deep in added time, Lawrie fed Watmore, who hit his shot home from about 12 yards to give Alty a win that had seemed unlikely just 10 minutes earlier.

2-1 Alty

I'll be honest I can't put a score on this one ,the weather forecast for tomorrow hear is garbage rain winds and if so the pitch will be awful as it is on dry day .let,s hope it's a good game what ever weather is like.

2-1 Alty

I think you'll find the through ball for Watmore's winner was from Moult, not Lawrie

I'll be surprised if Watmore plays any part tomorrow night (but I really hope I'm wrong).

get tonights results and consider where we are then.  a few games left if we get to the playoffs so no point risking Duncan if we don't desperately need the win at BPA.  that sort of logic anyway.

He said on Saturday he won't be playing on Wednesday.

In some ways a draw is all we need tomorrow but playing for one would be dangerous.

Our natural game is attacking, I would have no fingers nails left this time tomorrow if we try to play out a 0-0 draw, or sit back defending just the one goal.  Right now I'm glad I'm not responsible for selecting the team or tactics, over to you Lee!

We need to play our  natural game. When we start to change things for different circumstances we seem to lose shape and form as per our changes of formation when we play 10 men.

BPA will be going for it big style otherwise if they lose, the  play offs are almost (bar goal difference) out of their reach. It is going to be tough game.

BPA will be decent

Are we under cover?

Yes. We will be stood in that stand down the side.

They were a very good team at Moss Lane despite the scoreline I thought.

So are we though.

Were you at the game at our place at the start of the season?

I'll be honest this is the longest break we have had between a game for weeks , plus I know we have some back from injurys which is good news, and the lads can,t wait for this , but nothing will beat ,beating Halifax at the shay for me ,good luck to both teams tonight.

I think it will be close, but if we can play the way we played against Halifax and Guiseley away,
i think it will be a 1-0 win for us. Rodgers in the second half.
