Sorry can never figure out how to do linky things but Pitchero has an item saying we've signed this lad on loan from Gateshead. He's a19 year old forward, I thought we borrowed one of them the other week, and has played for Droylsden and Chester on loan from Rochdale. Just what we need.......not!

Cheers Jack.

As the County fans predicted our players would have to get use to.....being introduced to new teammates on the bus to the game!

Hang about, Metz, Hobson, Hattersley are not good enough so that leaves Reeves? All of a sudden another striker is not what we need?

You lot need to give your heads a wobble.

He IS what we need, but given the limited impact made by Youngy's other strikers, there will understandably be some scepticism. Having said that, I'd have preferred a goalkeeper.

Crikey, another left back! How many of them do we need NOT to put in the team? I think the Fylde manager was described as Youngy's 'friend' so let's see! Seriously, welcome to Alty both of you.

It doesn't state whether left back Sumner is a loan signing or a permanent one?

I agree none of Young's other strikers are up to standard but I would preferred a keeper, left back and centre back before another striker. From what was said by fans who went to Halifax, Metz wasn't up to it and that's what I mean, we don't need another kid upfront. Get someone in with experience who isn't a donkey like his other two then I'll be happy.

Good news on the left back...,assume this is the lad who was rumoured to be signing in the summer. Let's hope it's a permanent signing.

No disrespect to either of the new arrivals (indeed I would wish both of them every success), but by my count that makes a total of 25 players on the books, either temporarily or permanently. That number just cannot be viable, economically or in football terms. There used to be a story that in the dim and distant days of 1964-5 Freddie Pye could be seen on a Friday night at Holyhead, picking up two or three players off the Irish ferry; if they performed well the next day they got a job in his scrapyard - if not they were on the next boat back to Dublin. Is the present manager's policy on loan players the modern equivalent of this no doubt apocryphal fable?

Depends on how much you're paying them.

Pay peanuts, get monkeys though
