Will we make any signings in the transfer window?

It will be interesting to see if the S.O.S. scheme bears any fruit. It would be great if the fans were able to make this kind of contribution and see a real benefit on the playing front.

Personally, I would think it would be a loan player if anything at all but I doubt it will be Lewis Chalmers (as great as that would be). We badly need some cover in central midfield!

I think if Vics is off we could struggle to pay wages never mind get more players in.

Definite no from me I reckon.

Tomorrow's postponement has altered the situation massively for me.

Defo no new signings now.

Have to agree...wouldn't be surprised to see one or two leave now, once the injury crisis improves a bit.

There arent any areas where we can afford to shed players though, even with a fully fit squad

Its also unlikely we can afford to keep everyone

Loans don't come free.

The loss of the Vics game will hurt the budget.  No mistake there.

At least one will leave to free up some sort of finance.

Don't forget we've already released Val Owen without a replacement coming in. Good luck to all our sponsored slimmers & the Raffle. The money is urgently needed.

There are other players I would release before elam, although his wages may be high.

For me Elam is a player we must keep.

Surely Kevin Street will be relseaed as he is injured for the whole season? I agree that we do need to keep Elam he is a diferent player to what we have already got. When he came on against Northwich on Boxing day he played well and caused problems...

It isn't good form to release players who are injured unless they are unable to play again. Its not as if they are in a position to be picked up by another club.

To let Elam go to "free up money for signings" doesnt make sense. Why not keep him and not buy anybody.
