This is close to bringing the game and/or league into disrepute. Sponsors pay big rupees to be linked to a certain level of quality, this is abject.
Which game do they choose? How do they choose it? Whilst they can pick their own team this sort of gimmick can impact all other clubs in a relegation / promotions fight. I think they are taking the mickey out of the league with this.
The guy busts a leg, he breaks somebody else's leg...does this bloke go on the clubs insurance for the game? What about the player subbed to make way for this chap how does he feel?
Assume they only bring the bloke on when they are 4-0 up...how do they know they're going to be leading a game comfortably enough to risk bringing this player on? So he is probably going to be on the subs bench, taking a genuine players place, for a number of games.
Finally, can they restrict it to age - that may be breaking equality laws. PLenty of genuine players go on past 35.
The more I think about this the more preposterous it sounds. The word "circus" is well used blackpoolalty.
