If the logic is correct and the form continues at the same level then ...
We should beat Lewes at home, lose or draw at home to Mansfield and the next two games against lower mid-table teams (Rushden away and Ebbsfleet at home) should show us what we can achieve.   Maybe...

Two wins and a draw from those four games would put us on 13 points (average of one per game) and on target by both methods.  ;D

I was there too today and I mostly agree with the other posts.
I'm not sure the starting line up was quite right. I thought Denham struggled a bit as a central stricker and was a lot more effective went he went wider. When he was moved out to the right he was absolutely devastating. He got past their two left players almost every time he got the ball and put in some excellent balls. One in particular was a gift to and I'm sure Col is still wondering how he didn't put it away. I though the other changes which were made also improved things. So I might slightly critcise the initial setup but the tactical changes were spot on.
I can't believe we lost the game but I'd rather watch that than see us hang on in a desperate 0-0 draw which it could easily have been if we'd setup to defend instead of attack.

NB. It was only a 130 mile round trip for me but the roads were busy!

Anyone know why O'Neill is still on the payroll?

and I thought he did ok as a target man when he came on at Woking albeit he was only on for a few minutes. I'd have though he was a decent squad player.

This is ridiculous, getting rid of a manager at the beggining of the season would be disatorous. Also who would replace Heathcote, I don't think Barrow is up for being drafted in as manager after 5 games.

Spot on.

I wasn't suggesting that the team think about any game other than the next one. I was just commenting on the poor early season form of two teams who've done rather better in previous years,
(And I stand corrected on Oxford's form last year).

Agree that we need to pick up a couple of wins if only to give the team belief and confidence but I'd have settled for a point from the last two games and the Barrow defeat isn't looking so bad when you see their other results.

Eastbourne could be interesting as they could be up for it after their result on Monday, Salisbury and Histon seem to be flying. Then we have Stevenage and Lews. If they continue to struggle then we do need to get results in those two. A bit early to talk about six-pointers but those could be ...

Like I said, how about some credit then ?

To be fair there are other posts on our site giving us credit for playing well.

More and more of these ex-league clubs turn up thinking 3 points are in the bag,

Shhhhhh! If they all do that then we stand a better chance of getting something off them.
Let them underestimate us. It will favour us, not them.

As long as all of us give the team the respect and credit they deserve (when they deserve it) then who cares what other teams' fans think?

What's happened to these two? They were fighting for promotion last season and this season they've only managed one win each and those against teams who are likely to struggle.

Eastbourne all of a sudden seems like a far more exciting prospect.

Looks like they got a result today too though.

And quite a game for their Matt Crabb. Came on with 15 minutes to go, got booked, crossed for the winning goal in the 90th minute then got sent off before the final whistle.
