So an the immediate appointment of a new manager has been done which is what most on this forum wanted - and in my opinion the right thing to do.
Maybe some can now get off Grahame's back and let the new manager move us forward.
the new manager could have moved us forward six weeks ago

This ones been out of work since January - fair appointment, but all to late, the damage has been done

Welcome Neil, I hope you do well at Alty. I'm not expecting instant success but getting to the playoffs would be a good target.

And getting Clee fit and retaining him along an inspired Reevesy would be a good move if you agree.

Any of those not happy or dubious about the appointment point to who else we could have got?  I suspect Burr only wants conf national football.  NY seems to be exactly what we wanted, experience, local good knowledge, I expect it to take 3 years to get up but for us to have a go straight away

I'm only dubious of the appointment based on his performance at Stockport with such a turnover of players and to be honest, they were heading for relegation prior to his departure. And this, on his own admission, was after spending the previous season watching Stockport most weeks so he supposedly knew what was required.
I guess there weren't too many options, Shaun Reid possibly, the fella at Curzon maybe but both perhaps a little too inexperienced at this level for our requirements. I would imagine that Steve Burr would have required a far bigger budget than we were offering besides the National League requirement.
All in all, probably the best available option so I wish him well and I'm at least happy in the knowledge that surely one of his teams will not put in such a spineless and gutless performance as we witnessed yesterday. Hopefully he will also be able to find a couple of midfield players who can tackle and pass the ball to a team mate.

Don't get me wrong.
You say Burr.
What NL team would he want, or take him on?

Happy a decision has been made swiftly and announced.

I want to move forward now in harmony, the past is past, hoping everyone gets behind Neil and accepts that everyone makes mistakes and on the whole our club is being moved forwards and we can get back to the national league within a couple of years......

as ecky said, leave the politics to fcum  :)

I guess the only downside for me, is that Neil Young has a very very poor fa cup and trophy record from what I can see.

However, if we bounce straight back I wouldn't mind too much

Well pleased with this appointment, seems to be just what we need and glad to see they acted quickly after the debacle on Saturday. Just seems a shame it wasn't done a few weeks ago and maybe we could have stayed up.

I think Reevesy has gone, for me I really want Clee and Masha to stay in addition to the others who have contracts.Masha will be perfect for this league if he gets back to fitness. At the back, we need replacements for Luca and Griffin who have been bang average the last few weeks. We could really do with someone like Cav in the middle of the park, missed him badly this season. Up front, assuming we will lose Ranks, Reevesy and Crowther we will need a total revamp.

Shout out to Gino and Marcus, they have been excellent for me on loan and they both gave everything in the cause. Really hope Gino makes it, nice lad and with a great attitude.
