I'd have bombed Crowther out of the club when he complained during a match to Lee that the pitch was too hard for him to play on or the second time he took the piss (rang in sick) . No stomach for a fight that kid.

To be fair isn't it worse for a player to say nothing and then play because he is ill? Potentially having a poor game and risk spreading it to other players.

Yes, but Crowther not being able to play because of knocks or illness has been too frequent this season. With such a small squad I don't think we can carry players that aren't fit the majority of the time.

I get what you're saying but it's the story of our season isn't it? Fortunately the league is so poor that our makeshift squad as it is are still in with a shout of staying up so we've got to get behind them now.

As a side note I thought Crowther did alright yesterday, certainly no worse than anyone else but looked wrecked last 15-20. Mazes round players well and with a bit of a cleverer end product he'd cause more problems.

Depends how much you want to play.  Cleary Densmore and Clee played when they weren't anywhere near fit

I've often wondered how bad must our youth team players be if they cant get onto the team sheet before the likes of some......surely we must have one youth teamer who'd do a job?

A problem there is no link between youth and reserves for obvious reasons

Unfortunately youth team level is world's away from the demands on the conference national but we have seen the odd player make the step up like Heathcote and Watmore. It's more of an exception to the rule tan the norm though at any level.
