what gets me about this forum even when someone helps the club,you all start on him,why dont you help the lad instead of hindering him,i agree the half time bucket collection is dated,all he said was another way of doing this.get a grip lads.

The above quote is a two fingered salute to all the efforts that were made several years ago to stop this club from going bust. Surely you realise how it would annoy/offend people who tried very hard at the time to think of ways to help the club survive. If the bucket collections were raising about 76p every week I could understand you both ripping the idea to shreads, but they have consistently raised decent sums of cash (did I mention it's 100% profit?) which goes directly into the club's coffers.

There's nothing wrong with people coming along and contributing new ideas, but it's blatantly disrespectful and rude to dismiss as "begging" an initiative that one fan started and has, to date, raised several thousand pounds for our club.

I think you misunderstood how I came across.  I meant that going round with buckets collecting coins looks terrible.

I respect that we have raised several thousand pounds from it and also the length of time its been running.

WE can still have the buckets if they are required.

Im just saying that we can think of better idea's to make money.

The "Online Bucket" is a better idea however and maybe we should have the same bucket on RadioRobins.com or just the link leading to the "Alty Buckets Paypal"

As long as people are putting money in the buckets I see no reason to stop carrying them round, but I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree about that.

Like I've said before, I admire your enthusiasm and apparent desire to put forward new ideas. I think we all ultimately want to see the club doing well on and off the pitch and that is no bad thing.

Wouldnt it be miles better if we had a Massive Alty Bucket made that we place somewhere instead?

and we could collect it after the match. we could put it just after you buy your food when you get your change given at the till.

we could make every price like 180 280 80 etc so that what ever they will buy they will have loose change.

 I would  prefer a chance to win something for my money tbh.

I'm not sure stopping the bucket collections several years ago would've been beneficial Robert. If nothing else it showed willing to HMRC.
