When I posted this thread, I never expected three pages, and a totally pointless Johnson v Lawrie debate. You can't compare them - their styles of play aren't remotely similar !

They've both got 2 legs and half a brain and both want to score.

Similar enough for me  :D

he is long gone , why so much discussion about an average player, who was lazy at best, and played well, now and again !!!   forget this former player, and LETS MOVE ON, we have an important f.a trophy fixture comin up , and need to concentrate on the league, forget all these former players , still playin 4 various outfits, lets concentrate on ALTRINCHAM FOOTBALL CLUB !!!

If we didn't harp on about former players and past glories and just concentrated on the future this forum would have one post a week and that's the predictions.... ;D

I still rated chris young and always felt he was never given a chance to prove himself....

Allow me if you will to reminisce a Dale Johnson moment - that goal against York, must have been the last 10 minutes when he out-muscled their right back near the touchline, made his way towards goal and then hammered it in off the post. Loved it.

Is that the only time we've won at Bootham Crescent?

The point of the thread was meant to be to point out that an opponent in our next fixture appears to be on his game. I take no responsibility for the rubbish that followed, which is off message !

i dont get it, what's peoples problem? the thread title is Dale... and all thats talked about is dale, there's another thread about macc and all thats talked about is macc and sheep, its a forum that should not take itself too seriosly ie we are never going to influence the way the team plays or who sinnott picks...

Pete apart from reeves how many players are  loyal if  I wasn't an alty fan maybe I'd move for 50 quid also I'm glad we don't share the same tax man

And all the payments that Dave Pace makes to players at Droylsden definately all go through the books and the tax man is notified at all times...
