Welcome Lucas , great scoring record for a non striker so from Colne must be a midfield Dynamo 🙂 Can only recall one previous from them and he turned out a bit alright.👍

Putting todays disappointment aside , huge congratulations and thanks to all at OUR great club for a fantastic season , we have grown so much since Phil and Neil arrived to where we now find ourselves . So proud to support the famous Alty FC for the last 56 years and onwards through great triumphs ,  heatbreaking disappointments , total elation and sheer agony  , it's a labour of love and would not have missed it all for anything. Roll on August .

Hope Halifax get the point they need . In the play offs if Aldershot can reproduce the form that saw off Stockport and Swindon they can beat anyone .  Sarfend and Heed more dangerous too in my opinion. Don't believe Fax can reach their levels tbh. ( yes i know we need to win too )

If Halifax pick up 3 points tonight then that is the play off places confirmed, just the final order to be resolved. To keep momentum we need to win on Saturday and then see where that places us. Home tie next Tuesday/Wednesday would be awesome. If we make the semi's then either of Barnet/Bromley will be tough, but we know that. Seems we have had better results at Barnet in the past, so maybe that's the route and on grass. Either way lets get past Saturday first and see whom we have at home. One game at a time now. COYR
Spot on sir, well said.

Cross that bridge when (if) we get there ! athough if pushed i would slightly favour Bromley . Both very tough asks though.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Ebbsfleet match
« on: April 14, 2024, 10:10:08 AM »
The morning after the night before… still feel like I’m in dreamland and had a blast yesterday at Ebbsfleet! Been one of the best seasons in my living memory. So proud of my little club. Yesterday was just so perfect. As others have said I think Ethan is probably the best goalkeeper we have ever had (bold statement I know), he was immense yesterday! Baines pulled off a worldly save of his own at a very important time too. How many games has he won us just like Ethan with his blocks. Not sure how many games we have had him as captain but seems to be on a good streak. Cooper another revelation this season, has come on leaps and bounds from last year and is playing in the form of his life. Good to see CCC tracking more and doing a lot more off the ball to support the team, he really could become the real deal. I could just go on naming and praising here, but whatever happens from now until the end of the season, thank you to the team, thank you to the management and execs and everyone associated with the club. Finally hope JD is ok and it’s nothing too serious.
And so say all of us . Great post sir, we are all in dreamland i'm sure and promotion or not this team , this season will live long in the memory.

8 Points from the   remaining games and finish on 72 might be enough to sneek in to seventh .Football webpages predicted final table think it will be.

Wow that would be good and a massive bonus if the Latics and Shots were to miss out too! Unlikely though and it may well come down to goals difference in the end which  would be handy for us !!!

Great result boys and so important, and full respect to the loyal fans who made the trip , three wins from four have steadied the ship and with the new signings helping to add more energy and impetus to the squad we enter the last four weeks of the season with renewed optimism.  These last seven (+) games could make this the most historic moment in our wonderful clubs history .Hope springs eternal ! So let's all turn up in numbers and shout ourselves hoarse these last few games . We can still do this . Come on you Alty boys .

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: York City Match Thread.
« on: March 14, 2024, 03:22:23 PM »
It's been 42 years since we beat York City in the FA Cup to earn the right to one of our finest hours in the the next round, knocking out then top-flight Birmingham City. We've not come a long way since then in terms of our progress up the pyramid - indeed we could be argued to have dropped back just a touch - but back then beating the Minstermen was very much a "giant killing". Looking at the current state of affairs at York one rather has to feel sorry for them. Next season they look nailed on to be routinely playing the likes of Rushall Olympic and Radcliffe, and when you consider that they'll be sharing that "privilege" with other ex League clubs like Chester, Southport, Darlington, Boston and the reformed Hereford and Scarborough....yes, we HAVE progressed.
I agree entirely about York who are just one of the 'bigger' clubs to drop out of the FL . When they beat us in 86 they drew with Liverpool before losing in extra time at Anfield to that seasons double winners ! The shape of the game has changed dramatically over the 40 odd years you mention and we have been overtaken by so many who were always regarded as 'smaller' clubs . Who would have thought back then that the likes of Harrogate , Salford , Forest Green , Stevenage , Crawley , Morecambe , Sutton etc etc would be in the League . With all the ups and downs that have gone on there are currently 18 teams in League 2 who have at some stage played in the National/Conf . Amazing.
