Will be the signing of the season.  Can hold off two players with ease and seems impossible to tackle.  That is all.

Thought he brought players into play very nicely indeed tonight, especially Denham for his goal.

He really is looking good, holds players off with ease.

Is he a threat to little?, GH likes to play his 4-5-1 away from home.

Maybe the little in centre midfield as like the man united game could happen.

In pre season vs Man Utd XI we started with a 4-5-1 and little dropped back into midfield, until they scored.  This is what I would expect away to strong teams.

Dale is certainly a good find provided his form moves in to the league. The signs are he could be a sensation.

I think we need to see him against some real quality centre backs yet, admittedly I didn't see the Utd Reserves game so not sure he fared in that game but I think it's a bit too early to start building him up just yet!  :)

Yeah fair play, my mistake.

He definately created a couple of goalscoring opportunites, as well as a goal, with his hold up play and lay offs last night.

I'm glad this thread was started. I attended the Bradford game on Tuesday night expecting to be thrilled by the Chris Denhams and Lee Elams of this world, but ended up thinking that Dale Johnson was the real star of the show. It's been a long time since I saw a big Alty striker getting stuck in like that. The Bradford defenders quickly recognised him as a threat and set out to mark him tightly. Dale will be massive for us, but I wonder how many bookings/injuries this sort of lad will pick up over the season. Seriously, his fitness and availability will mean the difference between mid table and struggling.
