I thought both Sonko and Coly had moved on from the club they were signed for when they came on board for us. By no means certain their new manager would want to let them play for Alty

Smart is playing again but didn't look 100% in the last couple of games. I'd take Woods and Kidd (who both travelled to Newport) as striking options. They play well together and Woods has already had a run out in an earlier round of the CSC.

Play anyone. This competition is a joke and we can't afford any injuries for Saturday. Ask fans if they fancy a game for all I care.

Start picking the team with as many of those five young lads as are fit, add in Dootson, Brown, Baynes and Beesley and then fill the gaps.

How much would we be fined by the Cheshire FA if we DID field a "scratch" side ?

Who cares, this is the FA thats organised a final between two sides, at a ground thats nearer wolverhampton than it is to altrincham or northwich on a day when rail engineering works mean you cannot get a train back after 8pm from said stadium, when there was a perfectly good stadium at witton which would have been the obvious choice....

Let the Cheshire FA argue with the main FA about whether this is a first team game or a reserve fixture.

Its insane the the main FA that actually matters classes it as a reserve game but the suits at the Cheshire FA are so desperate to cling on to some sort of prestige and think its a first team game.

Lets invent slight niggles for anyone we dont want to play and pick the team we want.

The team should be along the same lines as the one ive picked above, as you say we can simply say people are injured, its totally wrong that a player has a "double whammy" when it comes to suspension, when a cheshire FA game takes place during his suspension. We simply cannot risk any of our already thin sqaud for the amusement of a few octogenarians in ill fitting blazers. And should they be offended by our line up then prehaps they should be told if it was played after the season had finished they might get a bit more respect.

I actually like the CSC but  I think we should rest all but Dootson, Brown, Baynes,  Twiss and Beesley. The thought of losing to Northwich is not as a terriffing as playing in the BSN next season. If it's a means to and end then so be it.

I know that Nantwich is a more modern ground that Witton but as the Cheshire FA get 1/3 of gate receipts it doesn't make much financial sense to play at Nantwich.

I will still be there though.

Totally agree with the posts above. Fill the team with young players and the likes of Baynes, Brown and Twiss. Staying up is much more important
