If there's any justice whatsoever, he'll get a run out.

A select few were chosen to be involved and clubs who improved the options to include healthier food were given some nice plastic award plaques, particularly those in the "Heart of Merseyside" region.

I don't suppose Southport came under that did they? I think they're politically in Merseyside?
Their food on matchdays is dire

Do people think that football grounds should offer "healthier" alternatives? for example, baked potatoes, pasta, vegetarian options (ie. not just salads) in addition to the traditional pies, chips, burgers as a way to try to improve the health of fans?

I think most fans just want better quality of the existing food rather than a change of diet.
Personally, if I wanted to improve my health, I wouldn't be a regular Alty fan - and I could save on the accompanying heart trouble!!!!  :D

Well done Lewis!

A fitting reward for his hard work for us this season.

I remember  getting a cheese and ham toasty at a Pub in Ashington (first year of the NPL) and it was only half way through it that I realised they'd cooked it with the cellophane wrap on. It was quite tasty - I had another one too (after taking the cellophane off!)

Like others have said, we will be ok as long as we keep taking points off the teams around us.

Although I had a feeling that we'd get something yesterday, I'm not too disappointed with the outcome really as the side has come on in leaps and bounds over the last 12 months. For example, last year it would have been three or four in the second half.

We'll be ok and do enough to stay up comfortably in the end but it wouldn't be Alty if we didn't have the rollercoaster ride.

Taking a positive slant, if we repeat our performances to date over the next 18 games, we'll have 40 points with 10 games to go - then a couple of wins and two or three draws will see us safe.

Keep believing ... and Come On Alty!!!!

I think we'll have to agree to disagree - I seem to remember his legs moving and his head leaning forward but him not actually catching anyone. The Trophy final versus Enfield was a case in point. He could get himself in the right positions but when the ball came over fast to the forwards, no matter how hard he tried (and he did) he just couldn't catch them.

Like I said though, he cerainly was one of my all time favourites. :)

Don't see us keeping a clean sheet - but, for some reason, can't see us losing (!)

Come on you mighty Reds  :D
