I was going to suggest Brightie until I remembered his Macc connection. Not a daft idea although he didn't do brilliant at Macc. Would certainly have connections 6 miles north.

Brightwell always wanted to play pretty football,at our level it doesn't work without quality players to do so...

Maybe in the Conference he would do ok..Apart from his very poor tactical awareness and rubbish signings...

He may be a decent appointment, its not as if Alty have much of a budget for a quality manager.

Going by the comments from the 'Meet the new recruits' bit on the website, it doesn't look like GH is going anywhere soon :(

I don't really think most of us believed that he would, did we?

Yes but read it again:

"However, when asked by Graham Heathcote, tongue in cheek, what the benefits were for an out of work football manager, the young midfielder smartly replied that pensioners such as Graham were not part of his remit!"

"Lee, for his part, is a qualified football coach who works with school children and he added that he was hoping to become a manager- "very soon", he added, looking at Graham."

It might be in good humour, but ...

The lesser of two evils is GH staying and Elam staying on the wing than Elam managing. Unless of course he makes them all do male grooming like he does... :D
