I haven't seen any of the new lads play yet so I can't say what my preferred lineup would be. However, I just hope that whatever happens we put out our best team and don't try to find places for individual players just to "accommodate" them.

I would pefer to see a 442 formation with Denham in the team.

Heard great things about Williams, Crowell and Chalmers, but I have not seem them play as yet.

Provided Saunders lasts more than an hour on his debut this time, I'd give him a chance ahead of Stu. Not sure about Smith in the middle of a back four though. Perhaps at right back with Williams in the centre of a back five, which would rule out a striker. And I'd play Denham ahead of Senior in any event. Just bring on Ebbsfleet and let's find out for real !

Just reading this thread again.

Isnt it great to have lots of options, now GH needs to manage those options to keep the squad kean and happy as much as possble.

I think Johnson, Little and Senior would deliver a good goal return. Col gets 1 in 2, Chris 1 in 3 and I'm backing Dale to at least make double figures this season.

I think Denham has the potential to be a very useful player, but I'm not sure about giving him a spot in the starting XI just yet.

Let's not forget, it seems certain the 'Cote is going to squeeze Robbie Lawton in somewhere.

I agree. Denham is a great player who always makes a positive impact.

I am a fan of Denham however he does get a bit too keen sometime and lunges into the tackle. which results in him being cautioned. having said that what he does give is total committment and pace which is no bad thing in any side..

I havent seen Alty yet this season but will be there on Tues..

From what I have read and seen on here it looks like the squad is stronger than last season.

I just hope they keep their discipline and eliminate the silly bookings that they got last season.

I think we should rotate the front three as they all seem to go through baron spells so hopefully this will keep them fresh.

I would always play Johnson in away games as he makes the ball stick up front.

I also think people will be surprised that with ball players in centre midfield and at least one winger on the pitch how many more goals our strikers will score.

Not since Robinson & Potts left have our strikers had proper service, they seem to have create goals by themselves.

I’m really excited about this season as I thought the only place we really need to strengthen last season was midfield!
