Local firm that has grown over recent years and does 'proper' work........not some sort of get rich quick PR type company run from a former shop in Hale village.

Let's hope it's a good deal that benefits both parties

Would this be sort of get rich quick PR type company who we might want to attract to the Club, sell Match and Ball Sponsorships and Advertising Boards to by any chance?

Obviously not!!

I for one don't give a bugger what business our potential sponsors are in

Good to see a local firm on board. Will John Laidler now replace the picture of Geoff's bus with one of a 1993 Ford Escort and an old cooker?

I can think if a few players i want to throw on the scrap heap.

Congratulations on first use of the 'scrapheap' pun. You won't be the last!

That's not quite true though, Phil, is it?

I couldn't see you being too pleased if we had Cresta Court Hotel emblazoned across our shirts....!

The establishment to which you refer is now under new ownership Barry - I am advised that all those who chose not to accept any responsibility for certain historical events have left. Given this I'd not be mithered any more to be honest.
The point I was making was that an unguarded comment can be potentially misinterpreted and that may cost us even a Ball Sponsorship and every penny counts. We do not have a Commercial Executive at the moment do we? If you're a "get rich quick PR type company" who might have considered helping the Club attract investment Free of Charge such a (argubly unthought out) comment may disincline you to do so might it not???

Well as my Granny would have said "he must have some brass neck to take money for  that" so, given his dimensions, I'd have said a fair few bob

Their slogan is "we're talking scrap". Fits with most of the forum posts then...

I was hoping we would rename the ground "The Totty's Lap Dancing Club Arena", but maybe that was over optimistic.

The team could run out to "Doing That Scrapyard Thing" by Cream. And maybe we could have a concert in the close season - heavy metal, naturally.
