Pitch was ok. It was the touchline the refs assistant runs along that was waterlogged! Ridiculous calling it off at 7pm. For all conerned it shouldve been called off earlier.

Actually that is incorrect

At 6pm there was standing water on the Assistants patrol on the popular side (Golf Road Corner near the Stewards Hut)

The referee and his assistants decided to see what could be done with that area and to re-inspect at seven to give the game a chance

At seven, the rain was heavier and the standing water had spread three or four yards inside the touchline therefore making the pitch unfit
