To be honest 442 I'm amazed it's caused an argument I'm gobsmacked people disagree for the record to Banbury I take back the Oxford city comment wasn't needed

Fair play, I didn't take it personally.

I'm amazed you're amazed, tbh. Like I said, the British Army killed unarmed civilians in his hometown. Can you not even see how that might make him feel differently about wearing a poppy than you do?

Nicky there is a difference to a political view and a disregard to people who have died for the good of future generations I will add a young man who is so botherd about his homeland he has changed countrys

I'll make this my last post in the thread in order to avoid utter tedium, but just to say...you argue like a man completely unable to take on board reasonable counter-arguments to his position. Would you wear a poppy in future if the British Army killed 14 Altrinchamians tomorrow?
