Worth a draw to have bonz and wilf around for a bit longer....however 3-1 Alty, and we get to play Shildon in the Trophy at Moss Lane.
As Shildon play in the Vase that's somewhat unlikely. As for tomorrow - I join the chorus of experience that says Shildon will score; I hope we're good enough to score at least one more than they do! Prediction - Watmore will be on the bench and may have to come on to prevent a replay.

Yes lads wer only one of those little clubs that play in the vase ( wer going to win it though ),, maybe a pre season friendly at moss lane,, nowt like a good excuse for a night out in manchester

Alty will win, just, dont care about the score.

As for Bonz and Wilf, they surprise me a little. They come on here and give all the large, in jest or otherwise, but with an average home crowd of ? I just see that two people would be so passionate about such a club. Something is a foot me thinks.

Probably Newcaslte, Gateshead or even closet Alty fans in disquise.

Ha Ha Teaser - Sunderland for me but I gave my season ticket up a couple of years ago. Sick of paying inflated prices to see a bunch of overpaid prima donnas diving around all day. I really do prefer watching the grass roots football now at £6 a pop at Northern League grounds. Our average home crowd will be around 150-200 but thats not bad for a town of 10,000 people.
Scaling things up Altrincham's population is around the 40,000 mark and you get around 700-800 so the attendance/population ratio is kind of the same.
Most of us dont care about the size of the crowd though- a good drink and a good game of football is all it's about and if we get beat then so be it.
There's a lot of bad sh*t in the world at the moment without worrying too much about a football result

bonz, I am not coming to the game mate.  As my boss said to me many moons ago, email communication can be so ambiguous.

Or buy you one at the replay - so long as I can get out of work early enough - should be no problem

Shildon 1 Alty 0

Alty totally outplay Shildon and miss 5 clear chances. The Shildon keeper has the game of his life. Shildon get their goal in 86th minute when a rare attack sees them score when a deflected shot gives Coburn no chance. Reeves then has a chance to earn a replay in the 5th minute but slips over at a vital moment and another cup exit awaits, leading to this forum going into meltdown with people wanting LS being sent to death for treason.

If you lads fancy a draw its 3/1 at Ladbrokes. Shildon are 6/1 - Altrincham 2/5
So we're big outsiders but they've made that mistake before!!
And good idea by Wilf - pre season friendly at Moss Lane next year - FA Vase winners versus FA Trophy winners!!

Wise words and a refreshing attitude, as regards crowds though going back to the early 80s we averaged 1800+, within just a few years post Heysel. Hillsborough and our own internal isses it was down to 350-400 on occasions. Thankfully it picked up, but never again to those levels. We used to get 5000+ in the 60s. I can never get my head round where all those people went, unless of course they got a Sky box. It may have saved football at the top level but it did F all for the likes of us.

Shildon have managed (with one to come) to get 4 people who seem arsed about the result on our forum.  That's four more than most teams in this league.

As for the game, providing we can see out the first 20 mins we will win 3-1.

I'm not going into with a negative "we never win cup games" attitude.

We've got the best keeper in the league, quailty centre half pairing, Jake Moult (hopefully) pulling the strings, Rodgers doing the graft, the best young player outside the football league on the right wing, a dead ball specialist on the left wing who can play a bit  ;), a Northern Ireland International up front partnering the best striker (officially) in the country.

Play like they can, game won.

2-2 all draw
we miss the chances to win it comfortably and we let in 2 soft goals in 5 mins at the start of the second half ;)

Yeah Markecky we've seen Mr Clee's free kick against P.A. Reminds me of one I blasted in at Copley!!
We'll have to be careful and not give any free kicks away within 30 yards of goal.
As for international players, we have a former England u19 captain playing for us
