Jackie Swindells scored five goals in a game TWICE during the 1965/6 season, and also scored SEVEN in an 8 goal drubbing of Chester Reserves !

I remember Freddie Pye complaining in the Manchester Evening News about the poor quality of the Chester reserve sides that were playing the Cheshire League one season just after we had pasted them by quite a few (It might even have been after that match above). The next time we had them at ML, they played their first team defence and the match ended 0-0 much to the disgruntlement of the Alty fans (me included) who all expected another cricket score
