Apart from the £31,900 from ESPN...
« on: November 05, 2012, 05:27:14 PM »

there are so many other benefits from this.

Firstly the town gets a reminder that we are still here and people start to talk about us again.

However one of the things that also happens (or certainly used to happen when I was commercial manager for the Darlington game) is that your sponsor boards suddenly become in major demand from national and international companies.

Lets hope we can make some serious cash out of this one and get them beaten into the bargain.

As the rearranged Halifax game was due for the 13th and we then needed a replay yesterday, would this game already have been scrubbed prior to the cup game being arranged for Thursday today?  Or will we be playing Tuesday and Thursday?

Lets hope we can fill the champagne direct sponsor board that's been their since jackie swindles was upfront. And as the replay is a midweek replay the Halifax game is off, it's TV that have moved the game from Tuesday to Thursday, and I assume the FA cup trumps the FA trophy, shud we get a draw at Worcester, that would have to be put back also

Also with a decent cup game... it can hook a few people

Im sure some on this board began following ALty after one of our famous cup games...

A just reward for yesterdays great performance.

10 days of worrying about the weather, industrial action and anything else that could scupper it.

Spot on Jack, my fella's first game was an FA Cup one and 18 years later he's still going!

Amazing opportunity financially and at all levels.

So excited and pleased for all of the fans who have waited so long for something like this to happen again.

Absolutely elated! Whatever happens now we've had a lucrative cup run this season. What makes it really exciting is that there could be more still to come. Days like these are what make it all worthwhile!

Just reward for a great cup performance!  :)

its funny i was chatting to frazer on tuesday about just how poor the general boards are and how it drags the appearence of the ground down i hope we have the will power and man power to completley transform the boards for the rest of the season

I know it's early but does anyone know if the game is likely to still be pay on the gate?

Given that the capacity is 6,000+ I would be amazed if this game were anything other than 'pay at the gate'. I suppose the main stand might be ticketed but I doubt it.
By the by - Socrates is 100% right about arrangements; Halifax goes by the board and any Worcester replay would be the following week. I don't know what might be done about the Saturday match - it might be switched to Sunday, I suppose ...

Wonder if we would consider offering alfreton a small fee once jake  moults loan expires ?I know we don't pay transfer fees and rightly so but he is a vital part of our side imo
