Our attack is allowed to have an off day but have to question if the defence is good enough

Pretty predictable result really, big game and we f****d it up, oh well onto Stalybridge.

Gainsborough were an impressive unit and we can't really have any complaints. They were the best team I've seen us play this season, certainly better than Hyde. Redshaw's shot hitting the post at 1-0 could have changed things but 2-0 overall was a fair reflection. New GK very solid as Ecky said.

Wasn't there and I struggle to get to games these days even more than previously, but with regard to Socrates' comments earlier, apart from paying more than I suspect we can they are not surrounded by Stalybridge, Hyde, FCUM, Stockport, Vics, Halifax, Southport, Nantwich, Chester etc etc, and they don't have the same road/motorway network. Training on a Tuesday night also is a big ask at this level from players especially who have families as well as jobs. It must be a tough job getting players in.

Gainsborough were excellent and were on top from start to finish. Could easily have been beaten by more we just couldn't compete.

Outplayed all over the pitch except the new keeper.

Their 4,5, and 8 were different class.

Not many positives to take out of that, Staly is going to be another big test. I hope Broomes is fit, although I not seen him, he must be better that Hawes and A. Flynn

I really think 3-4-3 is worth a go

Spot on that assesment of todays game. Not sure about 3-4-3 for us though as I just cannot see us keeping a clean sheet. Having to play Nicky Clee at left back where he is less effective is not helping our cause at he moment.
