Biggest Win For Years
« on: January 03, 2011, 04:58:48 PM »

I watched Mansfield take Cambridge apart on Youtube over Christmas and was worried what would happen if they got into us early.  Their pasting should have made them stronger.

A massive massive massive three points.  Well done Ken, the players and all those that went and got behind them.

Back to work tomorrow with a smile.

We have hope...

Fantastic result. Well done to all folks Alty in Mansfield today.
Picked up both my kids when result came through and they both put their arms in the air and had big grinson their faces. Not bad for a 4 Yr old and a 9 month old. Chuffed from Baguley. Again great start to 2011.

January was always shaping up to be a 'do or die' month for us with scheduled fixtures against the likes of FGR; Bath City; Hayes & Yeading; Tamworth and Barrow, so, to commence the month with four (unexpected, I think that it's fair to say) points out of six against two prospective play-off teams is truly a wonderful fillip.

Two clean sheets without smithy is an unbelievable achievement, Joseph has come into his own IMO and fair play to him. See what we can do at Rushden, then a home win against Forest Green and were laughing. Easy

Fantastic result against the ex miners......    now give the youngsters a run out against Runcorn so our lads can have a rest.

Terrific result and well done to the team, management and travelling fans....  Onwards and Upwards

Plus a big advantage for us, after conceeding massively before we have now had two clean sheets against teams supposedly heading for playoff places.

Two games without conceding, three if you count Curzon 2nd game away!!
