Keeping an eye on other results

From last night.....

Colchester's defence is the subject of another thread but, in case you missed it, they were two up at home to basement club Crewe Alex. and lost 3-2.
Barnsley, having sneaked a first League win in ages at Oldham last Saturday, were back to customary ways, losing 3-2 at Peterborough.
Oldham continue to struggle: they went down 5-2 at home to Southend last night.
A most interesting result in the Vanarama National League was mid-table Tranmere going down 4-1 at Woking.

Back to looking ahead to Forest Green.......

Woking's poor run seems to have come to an end; they've had a couple of much better results recently. Did they have injury problems for a while or something?

I just spotted the battering that York got last night at Pompey.  Seven defeats on the trot, they've played the "sack the boss" card too. Bottom two now, tea and buns at Bettys next season perhaps?

Tea and buns twice if Harrogate make it

Was there at the weekend

You will need to book early if you fancy an overnight stay.

There wasn't a hotel room available on the Saturday night !!

Campsite about 40 mins walk from the Conference Centre and Spa.........bit cold during most of the footy season though !

It is situated just off 'Beryl Burton Way'...........and I only mention that because she was one of the greatest cyclists Britain has ever produced......forget the modern crop with their huge financial backing, full-time training and facilities, this one was a true great, yet somehow is unknown of outside of North Yorkshire.......today she would have Honorary Degrees and Damehoods coming out of her backside...............sorry - I know this is a football site, how did I get here  ???

Wandering further from the theme let's spare a doffed cap towards CB Fry.

Captained England at cricket. FA Cup finalist, world record holder at the long jump, remarkable rugby player, a would-be MP, a publisher, an academic, novelist, journalist and diplomat.  Apart from almost becoming King of Albania he also was in close contact with Churchill and met Hitler.

Extraordinary man.

Bit of an odd week or two that for Boreham Wood. 3 games, away at Bromley, Alty and home to Lincoln. They'd have been happy with 4 points if at least 1 of them had been against us but they weren't. I'd say it's a 4 out of 10 period, going down to 3/10 due to getting knocked out by Vics too.
