I like the stats on the Beeb, but it is very basic commentary - unless you enjoy throw ins!

HALF TIME - What an unbelievable first 45 minutes.

Just when it looked like Alty were dead and buried they went and surprised everyone. The home fans fell utterly silent as those two goals went in and proceeded to get more and more frustrated as the half went on. They are starting to get on their players' backs a bit now and if Alty keep up the pressure, Halifax might just crack.

The slippery surface has played a massive part in the game so far. Three of the four goals have come from defensive errors and all as the defence has been caught out on the turn - nobody seems entirely comfortable.

It's still all to play for and Alty look the more likely winners right now. It'll be an interesting second half.

The key now is how we look after we get to the 70 minute mark.  Can we compete fitness wise?

Its not as hot and we do have the momentum. I reckon so.

SECOND HALF - One change for Alty at half time, with Joe O'Neill coming on to replace Whalley. The substitution doesn't come as any surprise as Whalley never looked sure of himself after picking up a knock midway through the first half.

It's a blow but it shouldn't harm Alty's chances too much. They just need to get Senior involved at every opportunity.

The little striker lifted the Robins after they went behind early on with his positive play and he causes problems every time he runs at the defence. If Alty can play decent through balls and catch the bulky Halifax defence on the turn, they'll have plenty of joy.

Looks like Senior is making the difference. They say defenders don't like forwards runnung at them.
