So we go again on Tuesday... ko 7pm (not 7:45)... can we make it 3 wins on the trot... both teams are on 12pts in 13th & 14th in Lge table but Bromley have played 2games less...
Appears Dales took a knock against Boreham Wood yesterday and was substituted, but Ceesay came on, as did McDonald (who scored) & also Robbins who along with Sutton on the bench will all be pushing for a start...
Team could be...
Thompson
Dens Sass-Davies Hampson Connor
Moult Smith
Kosylo Hancock Ceesay
McDonald
Subs: Gould, Senior, Sutton, Robbins, Adarabioyo
Lets hope Alty can get another win...
Anyone else have a view on potential starting Team?
-
I think you mean Hannigan (not Hampson).
I think Senior will play again, otherwise no other changes to your team.
-
Good to see our starting XI has settled down a bit again now.
Assuming Dales won't take part...?
-
Thanks, yep, meant Hannigan... :)

I think that will be the 11. Senior or Densmore doesn't matter which.
Think Dales will on bench instead of Gould.
Alty 1-1 Bromley. McDonald
-
Fiz up front for me, i think i may have underestimated how much he ties up the centre backs, i know his touch needs improvement but his presence for me stops the back line pushing too far out. Might be the same with McDonald, just dont know

Yes to the above.
Senior is quality but should be fine to rotate him with Dens at home.

Disgaree mate.
I think McDonald stretched them when he came on and took the ball well into feet and he knows where the net is.

For that reason, I still think Hanks is worth a go up top - I think he'd have plenty of goals in him once he gets going.
Although I seem to rate him more than some, if Smith works out then I'd love to see Sean Williams given a go at No10, with Kosylo and Mooney either side of him and the likes of Ceesay and McDonald coming off the bench for impact later on in games.
-
I was also thinking that Fis may have given the 2 BW Centre backs such a tough time on Saturday that it may have made it easier for James to stretch the defenders when he came on with 20 mins to go. I suppose PP does indeed always know best!
-
Yes I will stress that, as much as it's fun to play manager on here, I do trust the guys that actually do it for us in real life ;D
-
Same team as Saturday; the closest we've been to Peak Parkinson in a while.
Im a big fan of Densmore, but Senior should start ahead. I like the grit of McDonald but I don't think he should start, he (like Peers) should be coming off the bench to make an impact.
Only Mooney or Mallarky would get the nod (if fit) to start.

He didn't give them a hard time at all. Let's not try and make him work. He is way off good enough and why shouldn't McDonald be given a chance?

Confirmed team...

Dens

Moult
Smith
Kosylo
Hancock
Ceesay
Abarabioyo

DON'T FORGET 7PM KICK OFF!!!

Can whoever does the post match interview with whoever please ask about Peers' disappearance .
TA
-
Any news on Peers?
-
Half time music.....what was that....nearly went and slit my wrist
-
Need to see Fis hold the ball up this half....need to test keeper
-
Going to have to appeal that red card
-
Very,very poor performance.Powder puff up front. >:( >:(
-
What a horrible little team Bromley are.
For all our lovely approach play, we never looked like scoring. They defended well and simply batted off our ineffectual forwards.
Obviously we'll appeal the sending off, because it wasn't!
-

We still need a better forward!

Commentary said he has an injury; a strain I think they said.
-
Only one team who played football in the 2nd half and it wasn't them unlucky tonight but comes down to the same problem a striker?Kosylo now suspended after a very debatable red and Hampson hobbling off adding to the injury list.not going our way is it.

Yes commentators said Peers has hamstring injury.
Definitely need to appeal our red card. Looked like a clash of knees. Ref went more card happy in last few minutes.
We played some nice stuff, especially in first half, but couldn't quite get clear chances or test their keeper enough.
Annoying again to concede an early goal but we did play some encouraging stuff against a very well drilled and experienced Bromley.

The commentator stated that Peers has a hamstring injury.
That was extremely frustrating viewing.
I thought that Bromley were the better side and warranted their victory. They saw the game out impressively.
We lacked any sort of creative cutting edge and were utterly toothless up front. The quest to locate a decent centre forward continues.
That red card for Kosylo did look to be a rather harsh decision.
-
Red card looked harsh on live stream.
Maybe it could be appealed.
I do hope Kosylo didn't come back on after the final whistle to speak to The Ref. That could add more games to any suspension were it viewed dimly and/or result in a fine for failing to control our player (Kosylo)

Depends how/if reported by the ref and in what manner Matty approached him - though I doubt calmly!
IMHO it was an appalling decision by the ref and I hpe we can get a (successful) appeal.
-
No points and our best two players of the season so far both missing future games is a terrible evening ☹️
-
Adarabioyo and McDonald are two very different types of striker. They share one thing with Peers though. They're not Conference National standard.
Even Paddy Lacey scored for Chester tonight !
-
Shows a good forward is difficult to get hold of!
-
We got turned over by a very professional conference side. Footballing wise we were better than them but these teams get a goal ahead then appeal for everything and kick the ball away from our players during breaks in play and waste as much time as possible.
Never a red for Kosylo
Hannigan would have done more up top tonight than Fis and McDonald put together
All the passing football is good to watch but unless we test the opposition goalkeeper we won’t win games.
Need to buy a 15+ goal scorer
-
We've now played a quarter of our league fixtures, so pro rata we're heading for 36 goals. We need someone capable of scoring 18 goals at least in our remaining 33 matches.

Him re entering the FoP at all is potentially enough for at least 1 more game irrespective of what may have been said and how.
Bizarrely it would be possible to win an appeal and still lose him for 3 games or more
-
we need to get the ball forward quicker, that was our biggest problem second half
-
I agree that I think they saw out the game comfortably - after they scored their early goal they just completely ditched their high press (every team knows to do it against us) and were happy to let us have the ball. They defended really well, fair play to them.
I disagree with getting the ball forward quicker - I think we're better when we're being patient but that's where we really miss Jordan - those little balls to release players in and around the box, the cut backs etc - a lot of the time we just launched aimless crosses into the box that they dealt with comfortably.
-
We got well and truly Conferenced last night, for the first time this season.
Really reminded me of the jobs Stockport did on us in the North actually. Well drilled, professional, compact and make you work your socks off for half a chance.
We've got to appeal that Kosylo red. Barely a booking.
-
I wasnt able to watch or listen to last nights game but from the comments on here it sounds like Bromley were a very strong, well drilled team and deserved their win.
As for the sending off well its always difficult to appeal unless its a mistaken identity or very clearly an error by the official. Also if our player has gone onto the field of play at the end it will almost certainly increase the ban if the ref includes it in his report, but surely his teammates and the guys on the bench should have stopped him from doing so

The striker problem is arguably the biggest part of our overall shortcomings. We're playing some good stuff until we reach the final third.
-
Yes l agree that we aren't scoring enough goals but how many times do we give the opposition a head start.

Do we even know if MK came back on the pitch at the end? Someone said they hoped he hadn't but that doesn't mean he did. I saw Sutton in extended conversation with the ref at the end of the game but I didn't see Matty at all.

Bromley came with a plan, they executed it pretty much perfectly. Get the early lead, before we've got going and the Jose style, protect it with compact defending within the 18 yard box.
We did have some chances, not many but they were all snuffed out. On a heavy pitch we not unexpectedly tired a little second half, losing Hampo was crucial and Ceesay, was clattered first half and pretty much ineffective after that as was probably injured as carried on. They closed and pressed well, new how to time waste and break our rhythm. Average fulltime team that new how to handle us.
Parky and all of us know we need to get better in the final third, he'll be working on it, if its not from within, then just hope come January he knows whom he wants and we can secure there services unless there's a good loan signing out there to be done.
There was no lack of effort from anyone last night, that's a positive, hopefully at training they can work on stuff to improve the threat/finishing.

Why January? There's no window at this level?

Spot on. We first encountered these 5 years ago at their start of our demise all the way down to the Evostik-we of course went down & they narrowly stayed up. In the 5 years since they’ve consolidated in the National, gone full time & got a shiny new stand up at their ground. If we’ve stayed in this league for 5 seasons straight then I envisage that will be us but with their experience they did a number on us last night.

Indeed; there's about 4 decent sides left (Notts County, Solihull, Torquay being 3) plus a lot of average well-established clubs clogging up the middle. The introduction of 7-team playoffs gives the real chance of FL promotion to average sides.
Two or three years at this level - without being cherry-picked - and a consistent season can see you in the playoff

This is why we could give Hancock a go up front and move Kosylo to No10, as I think they'd have a similar understanding between 9&10 that we had last season.
I also think Sean Williams should be given a go at No10 when he's back, it's arguably been his strongest position for other clubs previously.
-
I think we need to be little patient with McDonald - he's jumping up quite a few divisions to play for us so will need time, not to mention better service. I hear PP has been very impressed with his finishing in training so fingers crossed he'll get us goals.

Then we should loan him out like Salmon

Salmon's actually been recalled from his loan after scoring 3 goals in 11 games.

sick of hearing this player that player isnt conf national standard.
Hancock had an appalling anonymous start to the season but we stuck with him and knew he'd adjust.....it takes time to step up a level....look at our slow starts in national north with everyone saying thommo not up to this standard, williams is only evostick quality etc etc.
Kosylo also I thought had an awful start to this season before finding his feet with our play.
Slating certain players and publicly humiliating them as not good enough will hardly improve them as players.....in fact it could ruin them....there's enough mental health problems at the moment isnt there?
-
I was just commenting on the basis of something said by Brian Flynn
I don't know if MK did come on but was outlining the potential ramifications if he had.

Giving away a soft as early goal set them up nicely.
I know rotation is going to play a big part when playing Sat/Tues (we've played the most games in the league), but I can't help thinking making 2 changes to the back 4 (who were excellent) from Sat contributed .
I hope we appeal the red

It is a fans forum and an offload for people. I am a person who needs to get things off my chest, otherwise I will sulk all night.
If players aren't playing well and go on fans forum then that is their choice.
