Altrincham FC First Team / WELL DONE GRAHAM HEATHCOTE
« on: October 24, 2007, 08:49:55 PM »
A brilliant "from the heart" article on the messenger website, the sort of inspiring  stuff we need a head of a tricky cup tie. The article shows how much doing well means to Graham and the management team aswell as the supporters, and how he craves the players to stand proud and fight for the red and white. Nice one graham excellent stuff, now lets get out there and give them a good hiding on saturday

COME ON THE ALTY!

Altrincham FC First Team / We need a change of thinking
« on: October 21, 2007, 02:53:31 PM »
I might get a slating here and what I say might not prove very popular, but so be it.We all have a go at the management, the tactics, the starting X1.But one part of the problem for me is a certain lack of desire. Its about time some of the squad (not all) rolled their sleeves up and showed some bollocks. We f**king blew it big style at salisbury last week, you could see the confidence drain from everyone as soon as they got that first goal back, and everyone on that away terrace knew what was going to happen, and it did.Yesterday we had a mad ten minutes,in the first half, it happens, but what annoyed me the most was the lack of fight once we'd got a goal back.

We should have took a leaf out of Salisburys book and battered a very ordinary Ebsfleet, especially when they went down to ten men.Yesterday the team were booed off at halftime, something that hasnt happened at Moss Lane for many years,it can give you an indication of peoples frustrations, nobody I'm sure likes booing their own men. We need some fighting spirit next week, Kendal will be well up for it, and we need 11 men that will stand tall and fight tooth and nail for the shirt, that will play with confidence and belief. We simply CANNOT have a repeat of the last six years, and fall at the first hurdle.

Since 1998 our FA cup record has been a joke apart from the run to the second round in 2001-2002, being knocked by sh*t like ashton, mossley, guisely, lancaster, hucknall .I Just hope we see eleven men out on that field next saturday full of passion and desire, as a group of supporters we are very patient and ask for very little, but heart and a never say die approach is one thing we must demand.

MIKE CONNETT has applied to take Northwich Victoria into administration.

If successful the club will not be wound up at the High Court tomorrow, Wednesday.

The Vics owner said this afternoon it was the only way to save the struggling club, which owes more than £350,000 in unpaid taxes.

"We are working tirelessly towards saving this football club," he said in a statement.

"The club will then be sold to a consortium headed by leisure businessman Jim Rushe if the administration order is accepted.

"I am personally doing all I possibly can to make this possible.

"If we can pull this off, Northwich Victoria, although in administration, will be saved.

"But even if we do succeed, it should not disguise the facts.

"And the facts are that this club needs home attendances of 1,500 just to break even and we are well short of that.

"If Northwich wants a football club the local community needs to support it - and so do local businesses.

"I would urge the supporters' trust to stop mischief making over the coming days and months.

"We can save this club."

The usual penalty for a football club entering administration is an automatic 10-point deduction, which will mean almost automatic relegation from the top tier of non-league football for Vics.

However the Guardian has learned that the club would not be relegated further as part of any punishment doled out by the Football Conference

« on: October 02, 2007, 12:18:39 PM »
I hear its free for season ticket holders tonight, with that being the case, I was wondering if the noel white suite will be open for tonights friendly?. It might make a few extra quid for the club with people eager to find out the conference half time scores and the champions league scores, and with it being dark by halftime now.

Altrincham FC First Team / Well done Graham & Dalton

For masterminding a fantastic result at crawley yesterday, thought the tactics and team selection were absolutley spot on.I thought the whole team worked fantastically hard and it wasnt a case of "smash and grab" we matched crawley pound for pound for the whole 90 minutes.Brilliant to see Warren get on the score sheet, an excellent strike and well deserved from such a hardworking player, man of the match for me was Ryan Shotton, what a great player he is going to be,for an 18 year old he showed the composure and confidence of a  player ten years older, and a special mention for scotty, excellent performance at left back yesterday.
