I still think any managerial change is more likely to lead to him being recalled, if only so that the new manager can have a look at him, rather than Phil Parkinson being offered the job, let alone taking it.

If I was him, biased as I am, that would be my short/medium term focus as a young manager. Going to Salford, it's hard to see such a good story.
