York City manager Billy McEwan has called on Setanta Sports to reveal how they will distribute the £2.8million they promised to Blue Square Premier clubs.
The Irish broadcasters signed a five-year agreement to televise matches last August when this figure was mooted but no further details have been given.
Setanta did not substantiate at the Conference's recent annual general meeting but with 79 league and Setanta Shield matches due to be screened next season, club bosses are eager to know the figures.
McEwan told the York Press: "You always get an official figure quoted in the Premier League's negotiations with Sky and information on how it will be distributed, but Setanta won't divulge what the deal is.
"We need to know. The club officials were not told at the AGM but I've got a meeting with Setanta next month and I will be wanting to find out then."
However, Setanta did reveal that they are planning to fit managers with microphones during games and also screen pre-match team talks from the dressing room.
They are also hoping to hold interviews with players immediately after their substitutions as part of match-day coverage, but McEwan is sceptical.
"They want to be different to Sky but they've got no chance with microphones on the manager. I will be voting against that," he added.
"As a manager, you need your own privacy and I don't think the viewers will want to be listening to what's being shouted on the touchline."
