Reeves - has been a hero for Alty but is now finished.
Hobson - I've barely seen him play, let alone score (has he scored yet?)
Owens - flaps around alot, bless him.
Lawrie - still baffled by those who claim he contributes anything.

Yep, it's much easier to say that a young lad who turns out for a game or two, is the worst striker ever to wear an Alty shirt, when the real source of the problem is the sh*t contracted last summer.

Why limit the vote to strikers who have left the club?
Assuming that we now have Reeves, Owens, and Hobson left who are out and out strikers, none of them would rate worse than the bunch of clowns above.

And your evidence for that is..?

Adeloye may well be woeful, but I'm at least equally sick of the other 'striking' options.

Plenty of new names on the bench however. Wonder if any of them were any good...

As I said after Owens got stick at Chorley, giving individual players verbals during games is just counter productive and distasteful. The board made 2 dreadful managerial appointments in Tolson and Young. Harvey was dealt a piss poor hand and Matt has been too. They've had a squad with one defender in it. Rowley should go at the end of the season obviously following successive relegations. As for Matt, I'm sick of managerial changes and I think he should be given at least a chance to assemble his own squad.

What? Tom Hannigan was the only defender to play well? You're kidding me :'(

We'll definitely lose, no question at all about that. It won't be anything like it was last time - 2 or 3 nil I reckon

A bit of self-respect and pride at last. A huge well done to the players - not said that once this season.

I live about a 15 minute drive from Fylde, but there's not a cat in hells chance of me going. I watched the 6 0 earlier in the season and have no desire to see it again.

I don't agree mate. Perhaps that happened once, I don't know, but it seemed to me and another Alty fan I was stood with, that the shouts for him to shoot became increasingly ridiculous as the game wore on. I get that it's frustration and believe me I'm with you on that, but it at least has to be fair. Chorley defend well, they targeted Owens from the start and the lad was ploughing a lone furrow against several defenders at any one time. I just don't think yelling for him to shoot, even when his back is to goal, is particularly helpful.

Agree that criticising individual players is not going to help. Owens in particular was bearing the brunt of much of the criticism I could hear. He was continually being lambasted for not shooting, though he was surrounded by 4 or 5 Chorley players, several of whom were holding him at any one time. I don't think some of the comments from supporters were fair, even if understandable given the circumstances.
