Absolutely agree that we need to make a choice re. first choice centre backs. For me it's Baines and Jones but given they had a torrid time last season, have we actually improved in this department.

Laughing my head off that anyone thinks Ross is no better than Ollie.

I liked the curved roofs and stylish floodlights at Fylde and thought the whole design had been tastefully worked out. 6000 capacity too was not overbearing.

I have avoided Mill Farm like the plague for many years but I was actually pleasantly surprised with the place on Monday. Yes, it could very well be a blue print for us.

I don't care who PP plays up front tbh; we are spoilt for choice!

Defensively, I've no idea which combination works best - I just hope someone does! Maybe the plan is to be at least two goals ahead by added time?

We just need to stop surrendering possession so easily during added time. It's becoming a cyclical process. Our keeper/centre half boots the ball upfield to nobody. Opposition rapidly find winger (not closed down by full back). Cross comes in to big centre forward and all panic breaks lose because none of our centre backs can cope with usually the big 9.
I've seen it v Halifax, D&R and Fylde.

Just seen that Macc conceded an equaliser 10 minutes into 5 added minutes!!!

Made me feel much better 😁

God knows if the pens were pens or the offsides were offsides but we probably got what we deserved for defending too deep and aimless punts forward to nobody. It's happening too often to be mere bad luck.

Also, why do officials keep adding on a minute to the added time when we are playing?

My first game since matchday one and can't wait. I see we've shifted between 400-500 tickets.

Parky can select whichever 11 he wants; he obviously knows what he's doing.

Man-for-man it sounds like we are a match for absolutely anyone, but comparative lack of resources means lack of depth. If we avoid serious injuries, then who knows what can be achieved but we'll need a huge slice of luck and then a bit more too.

Let's face it, a draw with Chesterfield and a win at Fylde and we'll all be over the moon.

I've been away so only seen the D&R game.

It's probably worth noting that some of our players e.g. Angus, Roscoe, Jones barely kicked a ball in anger pre-season so please give them time.

I've said since the Lancaster game that we are a LW short. Some bloke was on trial so Parky must also have thought this too. Hopefully this can be addressed soon.

PP must have done due diligence. York must be weak in the middle. Maybe he's hoping we'll dominate there and pass them to death!

Well, I wasn't expecting a win at Woking but it's a real statement of intent from our club - surely there can't be many harder places to go.

The ref must have decided before the game that he wasn't going to give pens for shirt pulling. In fairness, Baines had hold of their number 9 for most of the game.

I think the elephant in the room is that it is difficult for any number 9 given the system we play. How many have found it difficult? Look how Dinanga has prospered since he left. 442 would see the best of Angus and Linney (two perfectly capable strikers) but the chosen system (which I'm not critiscing) is just the one up top. I genuinely believe that only a number 9 like the beast D&R had today would function as a lone striker.
