There's more squad news on the official club website now.

This again doesn't surprise me. Mahon without doubt has quality but ageing, which increases chances of injury and lack of pace, plus his wage. With Durrell, Ceesay and Mooney we have real quality.
Plus Durrell could play number 10 if Hanks ever got injured ( we pray that never happens ).
Walters not good enough at this level.

Phil is doing the necessary to allow strengthening of the squad to National League standard. Most of the players are at that standard, those that he feels may struggle will be replaced. Expect maybe a couple more signings to be announced in the near future. Phil and Neil know what they are doing, and I believe they are stopping the club yo-yoing between leagues by taking all this action. They are making the squad much stronger for the higher level.

Mahon seems like a popular character  good luck to him and walters .Maybe  we can make a bid for Lundstram not just on loan if money has been freed up ?

Think we'll be hoping for a season long loan at least.

Bit gutted about Mahon, quality experienced player and celebrated the promotion as well as anyone.

Thought Walters left in March

Good luck to them both

I always thought he had an uncanny similarity - in pace, stature, playing style, and of course stage in career - to Juan Mata, I did really enjoy watching him play.

Best of luck to him - he should probably go back and play for Chester if they're tight on budget as I imagine he won't want much to play for them again.

This might have been to free up budget for Ceesay - I'm hoping as previously suggested that it might be with one eye on Lundstram too.
