No word from the club on what is/isn't being done to make sure the game goes ahead?

A good point - I am happy to take any questions from our non Greater Altrincham fan base and field them in the session

Yes, thanks Bill.

Why is this a sticky topic?

There's a joke in there somewhere.

Bill,

I assume that will include input from those of us who will not be able attend on the day due to geographical restrictions?

My brother said Fylde sold 700 tickets and Salford less than 2000. Don't know if this is true, but if it is, it is horrendous.

In fairness to Salford (not a phrase I'm likely to use very often), their average attendance this season was around 2500 whereas Fylde's is around 1500.

I think 5-6k for us may be a tad optimistic in the current climate. The attendance for our Trophy final against Runcorn in 1986 was one of the lowest at the time (since its inception) with only 15700 (only Vics v Bangor was worse at 14200).....don't know what our share of that was of course. You'd basically be asking for another thousand on top of our play-off crowd against Guiseley to be travelling to Wembley. Possible of course, but not sure how likely.

Unfortunately it kicked off after the game today. Think it did also in their play off game v Nantwich

Here's a frame by frame capture of the tackle:

.....but probably only torturing ourselves at this stage.....not going to change anything.

Anyone know if you can insert a picture into these messages?

Actually it's worse than that - their guy is going down before Josh even comes close!

Here you go:

Didn't even touch him. Watched it frame by frame. In truth though I thought it looked bad in real time though on the day.

Not sure if it was a sending off or not, but there was no need for it in that area of the pitch. Certainly changed the game though. Incredible defensive performance to get us to pens. Ref definitely made some odd calls. Fantastic turn out from the fans. Sat in the airport waiting for flight home. Sad but proud.

super effort we need more like you

Thanks. Although in truth you probably don't as I only manage to get to a few games a season. Early morning strategic scoopage in full effect.

As the team has gone to Dublin for a Xmas piss up I suspect this game has been arranged to blow the cobwebs off

They didn't tell me. I could have gatecrashed, lol.

Roy Keane hasnt got a job a the moment  and if he still lives fairly local ?

He'd be a perfect appointment. He'd have the whole lot of 'em fighting with each other in no time.
