That one-game drought was really starting to concern me tbh

Where was Justin Donowa today?

Jake Cooper replaced him on the bench. Don't know whether he travelled?

As a slight aside, whilst looking on Nitter, I noticed that there are some third kits available for sponsorship. What is our third kit? Is it the grey one?

My concern about Linney is that he won't score 20+ goals. I hope I'm proved wrong.

Either way I think he's an asset

If he carries on like this, he's on track for 46! (plus cup goals!) 😂

Seriously though, I feel we've got goals all across the forward positions which makes it more difficult for the opposition imho.
He may or may not get 20 but there are plenty of goals in the team.

At the moment he has 2 goals in as many games, plus an assist. If he could maintain a rate of being involved in 1.5 goals per match (69 across the season) we could sell him for megabucks.

Of course, he won't get close to that, but I can't stress too much the value of the assists he'll lay on.

His composed finish for the last goal yesterday says to me he will score plenty

Just seen the highlights (for what they were).

Superb goal from Kosylo, 2 soft goals to concede and a great save off the Marriott deflection.

A win at York but be nice

Either way I think he's an asset

20+ league goals would have put him in the league's top 5 last season - I genuinely think he could get there from an 'all comps' point of view, with plenty of assists too.

If he were available to us, there's a good chance we'd have won the Trophy.

Not sure why people doubt his goalscoring ability based on the record he holds - every striker in this league misses chances and he'll have the occasional dry spell.

He's a huge upgrade on Marcus Dinanga and that will show this season.

Couldn't agree more 👍

Goals scored by end of April 2024.......Dinanga vs Linney

My heart says Linney will score much more.....my head says it will be a close call.
I am hoping that we have turned a corner and we will be putting away our chances this season on a regular basis......hopefully this team can challenge for the last playoff spot

He'll certainly outperform Dinanga if Gateshead substitute him two thirds of the way through the game like they did yesterday 🤣

Those highlights don’t do justice to the save at the end. From the stand at the far end you could see just how far he had to get across to that and to push it that far wide. You can tell from the players reaction though just how good it was
