We'll be 12-15 points adrift by Christmas.

We need to go back to basics and play a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 we've had plenty of changes in personnel so we need to just play a system they'll all be able to understand and crack on

Obeng---Thomas--Morrison---McWilliams
Patterson---Moult---Richman---Miller
-------------------Wilkinson
------------------------Reeves

Was Obeng the one in the CSH after the game with gloves on,  with a right monk on?

Fair play to him if he was

I'd play Obeng in front of Patterson and utilise his pace. I'd also play Marsh up top with Reeves and go traditional 4-4-2,back to basics.

It's quite frankly ridiculous that we're not set on some sort of team or formation yet - but then again, this season is like no other.

Although my preference would be a flat 4-5-1, we can't do much worse than going flat 4-4-2 and seeing what happens.

Yep, I'd go back to 442, but I still can't find an 11 I'd select. It could be worth sticking Sam Patterson in the middle of the pitch, for he at least can tackle. Still lacking a combative midfielder and a forward to feed Reeves.
Could try;
Deasy, Obeng, McWilliams, M-D, Thomas, Patterson, Richman, Miller, Cain, Reeves, Marsh (is he even still with us?)

The way it's going 10 pts from safety could be a very optimistic forecast come Jan 1st. I don't lay claim to any great knowledge about the game, but suggest the following approach. Give me a goalie who can make saves, four defenders who can defend (the old Alty formula of two full-backs who are happiest going forwards simply won't do any more!), two (or three) midfielders to tackle, challenge for & hopefully win the ball, one midfielder to distribute such ball as we might win, another to play wide (probably left) to get the ball into the box when possible and one (or two) attacker(s) to try & take advantage of any chances created. Management - please don't confuse the issue with fancy formulas or systems, cut out all the mantras about giving players 'the information' (what do we think they are - IT systems analysts?), & try to instil some fight & pride in them. Please don't ask me to put names to positions, though. If we're going down - which at the moment looks more than probable - let's at least show a bit of passion on the field & give those of us off it something to shout for. Rant over.
