Crawley have been issued with a winding up order by Revenue and Customs.

High Court Date has been set for May 14th.

They may have finally used up all their lives.

From the Crawley Paper concerned:

Crawley manager Steve Evans has dismissed fears surrounding a winding up order served on the club and insists any unpaid debts will soon be settled. Reds are due in the High Court on May 14 after being issued with a winding up notice from Revenue and Customs. The Blue Square premier division club have a history of money problems and came close to liquidation two years ago. Evans said "I do not think it will go to the High Court, the cheque is raised and ready to go. "It is a stagnated process and people have to announce things but it is not going to be happening. "I was told about it last Thursday and was informed the funds were being moved across to pay it so I have not given it a second thought. "There are always stories at football clubs but when you live in the world of football you realise that it happens not just to us but to the best of them. I've got no issues of concern

I assume the funds were travelling in a fleet of cars then?  ;D ;D

I could write a cheque for any amount  ;) plus if its 'raised' why not pop it in an envelope and get it sent .. Ah wait ... That'd involve BUYING a stamp wouldn't it.

Surely the process only became "stagnated" because Crawley ignored it for so long?

After all's said and done, does anyone agree with me that Crawley will weasle their way out of it and still be here in the BSP next season?
I've long since given up on thinking that there is justice in the football world ...

Although I'll think about changing my mind if we stay up!

Agree with you there Saughall, Crawley have been getting away with it for ages, so there is no chance of any different outcome this time round.
