A long history. Wrexham, Barrow and (especially) Crewe in the 60's;  Notts County (never a pen!!), Blackburn Rovers (the disallowed free kick at Moss Lane), Everton, Spurs in the 70's; Orient (Whitbread and Howard in each others way), Huddersfield twice n the 80's and 90's...

We do not have a great record when drawn at home to Yorkshire FL clubs however...

That Everton game, how would the future have panned out for us (and Wimbledon) had we held on to win that one. In those days it was big cup shocks that got you in the league, other success was disregarded by the self elected 92. Would we have prospered and grown, or would we be too small to move up? We'll never know.

If memory serves me correctly, was a large section of the M6 north closed that day leading to a major diversion to get to Preston where we were herded into a corner of a stand?

And then we nearly got our heads smashing in at the pub across the road from the railway station, we ran out and got to the platform full of Chelsea supporters - ph the fun we had that day.
