It certainly did, that was my fault, apologies.

The short version of this is that I was told Jordan Hulme was attending, but that information appears to have been incorrect.

I think that I have a good idea how this happened, but it's probably not a good idea to share this as it's only my personal interpretation & may not be true & 2 untruths do not equate to a truth.
It wasn’t the steward at Dover was it?

Reminds me of when young was in charge. He Kept bringing in players to fill gaps and most of those were not good enough. If you get beat at this level so what if your full squad has given there all but at moment I can’t see it. I have watched all games before anyone asks and we look shaky. How many goals do we need to give away by messing about at the back. We are not a top premiership team we Alty. Let man up and get going.
There’s a big, big difference from Young’s time. Young hadn’t gathered any squad together at all, then had that group of players decimated by injury. Young just recycled rubbish with further rubbish. The only reason PP has brought loan players in is because he’s been forced to by injuries to his highly capable squad. The three new loanees he had available yesterday hadn’t had a trading session with the other players and were thrown in the deep end through desperate necessity. Neil Young was playing preseason games months after the season had started. Chalk and cheese.

The loss of his sidekick, Jordan Hulme has not helped. The real reason is that we have yet to replace him. Suggest we give Jamie McDonald a decent go from the start, and maybe use Adarabioyo as an impact sub. We have to give all the new players time to gel. you cannot judge any new ones coming on for the last 15 mins.

Get our injury problems out of the way. We are too good a side to not improve, but we need to find the right type of player as soon as we can. He may be already with us, but we will come good. We need to find another Jordan Hulme sooner rather than later. The team has had too much disruption due to injuries and it will take time. Josh Hancock will be fine, as I say we are too good a side.
What Steve said👌

If Wealdstone are second it's either a poor league or they didn't turn up on Saturday. They created very little.

It's a poor league. The bad news is we're 21st. The good news is a win tomorrow would lift us to 11th (a draw would put us 16th). We've played 3 of the current top 7 away from home already, and I haven't seen anything to convince me that we're any worse than those teams. We just need a decent striker on board to be genuine playoff contenders.

I'm not sure that we've seen enough yet to know whether its a poor league or not.  What can be said with some degree of certainty, is that things are not normal this season and this appears to be a factor in some of the results that have played out (see Premiership league table which tells its own story).

I think that for the most part we've played reasonably well, however, the injuries we've sustained are a significant factor in explaining where we reside in the league currently.
League positions are very volatile at this early stage of the season. If we’d have scored the penalty at Hartlepool we’d be sat in 11th place now. May be a somewhat false position you could argue, but it’d be a fact. 😄

My first season of watching football at Old Trafford in 1958 with the team rebuilt including Albert. The old first division was still very much a working class domain. 1/6d (7.5p) to go in the Stretford End Paddock. Just roll up, queue and go in. No prima donnas in those days. More akin to a non league atmosphere. Before the days, starting in the sixties, when hooliganism raised it’d ugly head and top level football lost its way as the game of the people. Thank goodness for Alty and thr real thing. RIP Albert.

Two requirements tonight. A win and no more injuries. Both equally important.

Shouldn't be for all Gtr Manchester anyway (a made up area which only by chance didn't include places like Wilmslow). It should be at least borough level, and I would go further - North and South Trafford perhaps? And after all, if they had the pre-74 government areas, what would they have done?
The government pre 1974 would have had the same ignorance and prejudices against the North of England as they do now. The present incumbents were unaware Wigan was in Greater Manchester. It doesn't concern them one jot if they get their facts straight. You'll just do as you're told. The covid tests in Liverpool are senseless and wholly unreliable. It'd be cheaper and more accurate to give everyone a new penny and ask them to chose heads or tails. That'd be 50% right. Crazy times.

With limited income I will be keeping my live streaming investments to Alty FC alone and will be delighted to indulge myself with the dulcet tones of our RR commentators for away matches!
if all the Alty home games go ahead it’s 50 notes. Let’s hope we need to use the sprinklers.

I'm practicing my best Barnton accent
I was told it's pronounced BATON. 😱

Is that the English pronunciation, the French pronunciation or the American pronunciation?
I. A thick mid Cheshire brogue. Bahtun.

After last week's fruitless battle to register for Dover's stream, I'm delighted to report that I registered and paid in just over one minute.
Reckon it was the same Dover steward that pulled Brian’s wires out pressing cancel when you tried to book.
