Altrincham FC First Team / History Makers - Part 1 (Bromley Away)
« on: April 28, 2024, 07:31:18 AM »
So here we are… following a sleepless night full of excited nerves, the day has arrived!

No matter what happens today I don’t think I’ve ever been so proud of our mighty team!

I hope we sing our hearts out from warm up to finish, get behind the boys and get them over that line! We are the 12th man and for this historic day, we are the difference.

We are top of the form table, have some of the best players in the league and a management team that know how to navigate the win.

1 match away from Wembley…. Let’s do this!

P.S… Coach 4 rules!

A statement has been issued by AFC Fylde which reveals that "Following the recent run of results, the Board of Directors have decided to relieve Head Coach Adam Murray of his duties with immediate effect.

The Club will now begin an immediate search for a new Head Coach, but in the meantime, Director of Football Chris Beech will take over the running of the team".

Danny Rowe has just left Chesterfield by mutual consent. Would you have him here for a bit?

Altrincham FC First Team / Con-Clark, Justin & Baines
« on: October 03, 2023, 09:58:52 PM »
A great result tonight but a special shout out to these three. The two forwards were unplayable at times and Baines at the back was an absolute gladiator. What a superb goal from Cricky 👏🏻

Aldershot were very good and a huge improvement in personnel from the games I’ve seen here over the years.

With players to come back and reinforcements that could come in, It’s looking good Robins.

P.S The curry’s we’re very nice

Altrincham FC First Team / Away Fans & Pub Meet
« on: February 11, 2023, 07:19:44 AM »
Just about to set off for Bracknell and our kid has asked how many we will be taking today? As no official numbers will be released, I wondered if we could get an idea by starting this thread.

There is 5 of us going down.

It looks like we will be going to the White Swan pub for pre-match drinks as mentioned by a few others on Facebook.

How many of you are going and will you be joining us in the Swan?

Cmon Alty! Can smell that Wembley turf.

Altrincham FC First Team / Leaders on the pitch
« on: February 03, 2023, 08:19:02 AM »
With Hulme’s game time limited and potentially not in PP’s long term plans, after losing Ryan and Toby, we are now desperately in need of leadership on the pitch. Toby should have been club captain by a country mile, no offence to Jordan but we now seek our new leader(s). It actually worries me with so many potential new starters tomorrow, we will lack those senior leaders within the ranks. With so many young recruits, loan deals coming in I’m looking across our team and wondering where that leadership is coming from? I’m sure by next season we will be changing tact and onboarding a number of full time “contracted” players. So who is our future captain/vice captain to galvanise this team?

Altrincham FC First Team / CSC Team?
« on: January 26, 2023, 08:25:09 AM »
I personally hope we stay clear of using our first 11 in this fixture, but then wonder if more minutes for the likes of Jordan, Egli, Dinanga and Elliot might be beneficial in their fitness and confidence.

Who’s your 11?

Altrincham FC First Team / Contracts… Keep or Leave?
« on: January 25, 2023, 08:31:50 AM »
According to open source online, I was really surprised to see that we only have 3 of our current squad with contracts that run into the 2023/24 season… Byrne, Baines and Ludstrum. As much as we need reinforcements now in an attacking sense, I would like to see the club tie down certain individuals by extending contracts.

Who should we keep and whose time is up?
