Does anyone know any decent pubs near the ground, preferably a good one to watch the England Scotland six nations game in a 5.00pm?

Many Alty going to be making the trip?

If you want a fantastic atmosphere then go down the road to Richmond - it'll be absolutely heaving though. The Orange Tree is the place to go.

Yeah, big rugby area. I lived in Petersham for many years (between Richmond and Kingston) and shared a house with some rugby lads. Cannot begin to think how many times I crawled out of the Orange Tree on a Sat night. To be honest you'll be spoilt for choice in Richmond with regards to pubs. Will be a great night - enjoy!

I'm sure there are lots of good ones, however you would have to sit there drinking for a full week before watching the Scotland v England Six Nations match which takes place on Saturday 13th March at 17.00 hrs.

Apart from that, carry on...

The real rugby pub in Richmond is The Sun, down a side road behind The Orange Tree.

Trains between Norbiton and Richmond are half hourly and take about 20 minutes. It's a 10 minute brisk walk from Norbiton to the ground. Pubs near Norbiton Station include The Norbiton and Dragon, thai food, and for good real ale plus the rugby, The Willoughby Arms.

Pubs around Kingsmeadow are not great, its not the best area. Unless strippers are your thing, this place has them lunchtimes. http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/35949/    The ground has two large bars though and there's no bother.

Have found quite a few pubs selling the decent dark drinking stuff rather than your usual girly drink!! See you tomorrow - hope there will be enough room in the car for me with all your beer.

Lets hope they manage to segregate the match properly this time around, the 40 odd that travelled in midweek to the trophy tie had to endure rat faced mockneys boring the sh*t out of us during both halves

To anyone who went to the trophy game, where is the best place to drink pre game?  Local pubs etc, or the club bar?

See you all Sat.
