I can see us getting 7 points before the end of the season with 2 home wins and a draw on the road which will hopefully come at FGR.

Is that enough to stay upi do we think...?

It could be but our goal difference could be our achilles heel.

I think it will become a lot clearer by 5pm when we see who has got what from some tough games on Saturday (including us).

I have a feeling we are going to grab a win at a lacklustre Grimsby for no apparent reason.

That would be very nice

My instinct is that a final total around 50 points will be needed, particularly with our goal difference, so two home wins and three draws might be enough, but to win one of the away games wouldn't half help.

I was thinking about this the other day, that 5-0 away at Eastbourne may be costly and may mean we have to beat them 5-0 on the last day of the season!

Grimsby have a glass jaw against struggling clubs. Eastbourne, Forest Green, Southport, Barrow, Cambridge, and Tamworth ALL drew there, whilst Hayes & Yeading won ! Histon only lost 2-1.
They've actually failed to beat Tamworth in FOUR attempts this season. We drew with them at home so we really ought to be capable of coming back with AT LEAST a point.

We beat Fleetwood at home, so why can't we get a least a point there, given that Eastbourne turned them over a few weeks back ?

REPEAT AFTER ME : WE ARE GOING TO WIN AT FOREST GREEN ! ! ! ! !     I am not losing a Saturday's work to see us fail ! ! ! ! !

Which leaves the home games. To my mind, the key game in our season isn't Eastbourne - it's Newport. They're not playing for anything, and only just beat us at their place when we were struggling to get a side out. We can beat them !

Right - there's EIGHT points from the four games before Eastbourne - which might not even matter if we perform to our best in those games. We can do it, and I believe we will.

And if we do, I'll beg steal or borrow to renew my season ticket !

It's still the unforced errors that seems to be our Achilles heel.
Cambridge were well beaten on Saturday, if we could have gone in at half-time 2-0 up we would have won. That is what makes me nervous, we are good enough to stay up, but will we gift any more goals to our opponents??

I reckon we will need at least 50 points to make sure of BSP football next season

We always give soft goals away but the difference in our last
few games is that we are now creating far more chances up
front. We have got to start turning more of those chances
into goals,if we can do that, then I see us having a good
chance of survival. My run in predictions are 3 points away,
whether it be one win or three draws & 6 points at home,
which will take us to 50 points & I would think safety.
