If you are married with a family you do not exist under a Labour government. However, if you are 16/17 and get knocked up by a complete stranger they can't throw enough money at you.

Ditto eastern europeans etc. My girlfriend's dad tried to get a flat off his local council a few years back, knowing that there were several empty ones nearby. He was told that these were being kept empty for asylum seekers to use them. That's just taking the p*ss!!

It is a legal requirement in Scotland that druggies & the forementioned 16/17 yr olds who get pregnant will always be ahead in the council house queue than those who work hard, pay taxes etc, but can't earn enough to buy their own place.

The law is an ass!

Oh dear, it's turned into a political argument between the blues and reds...no bad swearing yet so the likkle children are still psycholigically undamaged so that's OK.

C'mon folks, they're all as bad as each other  (that's why turnout at elections is so low due to lack of options)..this charge will be bought in by a mixture of tory, labour and lib dem councillors based on a bribe of the metrolink extension that was previously promised anyway by Bliar...but this scheme will continue under the new tory government.

The Marcus Hallows incident is a great example....under labour 200 brand new ambulances are sitting waiting and the brand new call centre at wythenshawe staffed by 200 is eagerly awaiting the call....however when the call comes they have to analyse the rules and come up with their interpretation of the correct response time based on colour / ethnicity of victim, budget analysis, targetted response areas, does the victim smoke and is it hurting...then they contract the job out to BUPA.

With the tories you'll get a clapped out D reg ambulance that would rival Ecky's gateshead transport  within minutes..especially if you're with BUPA or donated to the local conservatives jumble sale.

With lib dems you get a mixture of the above but they are honest enough to charge an extra 1p in the £1 to pay for it.

Is there anyone actually genuinely in favour of the congestion charge?

That's okay so long as you don't have to use public transport to get to the match, you don't mind the bins not being emptied or the streets swept, in fact so long as you don't actually want to use any public services then yeah go ahead vote Tory

The Tories currently control Trafford Council, as far as I know people are still having their bins emptied.

I hope this helps.
