Ground Improvements and Floodlights
« on: May 19, 2007, 10:39:43 PM »

I was down at the open day today.

The new floodlights look good, they are designed by Thorn, there will be 24 lights on 8 new masts at 15m.

They will generate an average of 350 liux, generally al light will falll within the ground! The masts will be in similar position with the exreemes near the 18 yard line.

There is to be a toilet block, near the club shop with an integral snack bar, eventually adjacent will be new offices and a club shop accessible from the street!

Where the existing block was demolished, a new concrete wall was erected the other day.

Well done to the club, a good step forwards.

I saw the plans yesterday they look good like the idea of the new offices and club shop which will be accessable from outside of the ground.
Building new offices will enable the club to knock the ones down inside the sponsors lounge making it biggar to accomodate more people.

The councillors explained that planning permission was granted for 20 Apartments at the chequers end!

This was not discussed or has anything to do with the other Improvements applied for I personally believe.

I think that that development is due to start in the next few months.

Does this bring a new meaning to "Dont Piss On Your Chips"?

I would hereby like to start a campaign to name the food outlet "Robins Retreat"!

I've always thought that sounding like we were running away to hide after losing ;o(.

Wouldn't "The Robins Revenge" be better or maybe that should apply only to the curry pies

Perhaps Robins Rolls (play on Corrie Street) or Robins Revels (whatever happened to those choclates?) or Robins Ravenous, Robins Roasts, Robins Treats?

I could go on ............

Travelling Alty,

Will you be selling your homemade lemon cakes at the new snack bar?
