I was there with my mother, I was still smarting because the original game had been called off due to a frozen pitch. I had 5 or 6 to us going to that one.
I can still see Ronnie Ellis's equalizer coming in from the left side, and fussilade of boos that greeted the winner. I also remember the Daily Mirrors or Suns - Rockin Robins headline next day. It got 1 column in most of the papers and that was it. Generally this game is little remembered nationally, but I will never forget it.
I remember my mum saying how impressed she was. I said who she felt was our best player - she said no I meant the police escort we were given out of town - personally I was glad to get out safely, bad vibes that night; not from the Villa fans though!
