Do we need a ground anymore - don't we play all of our games away nowadays?

In terms of ground improvement, I'd like to see some segregated facilities between Chequers and the family stand, containing toilets and catering facility as others have mentioned.  When there is a big away crowd in I'm not comfortable with sending my kids into the away end and its a right trek down to the golf road end up and through the main stand ( a bit of a mad design).

Don't need one of them for Histons away support.  They memorably took nobody to Wrexham a couple of seasons back. Nobody.

What memories this brings,....I had the very same motor, colour and reg (mine was HVK 90K) when a student in late 70's and used to travel home and to away games in it for 3 years or more. It was like driving in a bath tub and rolled round corners,..those were the days ;D ;D

My parents had the same model & colour and I managed to 360 it around a corner one saturday as I was late heading to Moss Lane after I'd been kept longer than necessary by my part-time boss at the time. On the Mere, actually managed to avoid all obstacles and oncoming traffic and end up heading in the right direction......they weren't stable motors though

I also remember being at the Eastway traffic lights back in 1977, sat on a bench with a bag of chips. I saw one of the Morris Marina TCs - the one with the MGB engine in them pull up next to one of the then new, Saab Turbos. For some reason the Marina TC driver put his foot down when the lights went green, but the Saab driver was having non of that and kicked in the Turbo-charger. With a high pitched whistle sound the Saab had reached the Alma Road woods as the Marina TC passed me. The driver looked properly pissed off, but to be honest I don't know what made him take on the Saab in the first place.

This started my long love affair with Saab's and I am now the proud owner of one. As for Marina's there are still one or two around, but I dont know how long they will last because the Top Gear guys keep dropping caravans on them.
