Today's Trivia Question: Who am I?

I scored 182 league goals in 539 games, most of which were in the top two divisions, between 1978-1995.

My brother played for Altrincham.

Looking at Paul Stewart's career, he played for Blackpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Wolves, Burnley, Sunderland, Stoke &...Workington!!!!

I was thinking it had to be to do with Tony Bannister - but I couldn't think of a more famous Bannister ...

He was never referred to as Gary's brother as far as I know...

Rogers a famous bannister, not sure about his footballing prowess though! Gary bannister was born in Warrington. And only he and a couple of others on the list of players who've notched up over 500 games were realistic options. What was unique about Tony bannister?
